The brand new edition of Road & Track has a great story of John. He was a great driver and person. I met him at Bloomington Gold several years ago when he was autographing his book. We chatted for the better part of an hour during a slow period in the afternoon. He was a joy, soft spoken and humble for such an accomplished gentleman. I wish there were more like him.

A great loss and not just to the Corvette community. He was a direct link to the beginning of it all.
He did at least as much for the Corvette as Shelby did for the Mustang. R.I.P., John...
