Site Updates Completed

This week, we've been working on several software updates throughout the Corvette Action Center.

All of the core server software has been upgraded as well as the Ad Server software, Knowledgebase software, Classified/Showroom software, forum software and Gallery software.

Enhancements:

Knowledgebase

• several bug fixes
• Export to PDF and Word document options now included

Gallery:

• Private Messaging (PMs, notices for activity on photos and ratings, new photos from buddies, message board activity)
• Built-in RSS (per category basis)
• Usergroup optimization resulting in significant reductions in memory usage for medium-large sites
• Lightbox integration for popover images
• Uniform thumbnails option (when using IM, all thumbnails are uniform in size and cropped from center
• Link codes for medium thumbnail/html codes
• Invites System for users to invite and track invitiations
• Mature Content flag to "hide" mature images from unregistered users (or users who select to not see mature pictures)
• Buddy Lists
• Who's Online page
• Redesigned data area for showphoto, more AJAX/JavaScript features
• Redesigned profile page - buddy lists, more stats, bio pages
• Slideshow Pause/Resume
• Changed voting system to track votes seperately from ratings
• Use of icons versus text on showphoto page (famfam icons)
• RSS feeds to include subcategories
• Improved "tag photo" feature
• "Zoom lens" integration

Showroom / Classifieds Software:

• Ability to upload Quantities of Ads
• Private Messaging (PMs, notices for activity on ads, new ads from buddies, message board activity)
• Built-in RSS (per category basis)
• Invites System for users to invite and track invitiations
• Buddy Lists
• Who's Online page
• Redesigned minor areas of showproduct page
• Redesigned global sidebar element to include all pages not just showcat or showproduct like earlier versions when you elect to show the sidebar globally
• Redesigned profile page - buddy lists, more stats, bio pages
• Use of icons versus text on showphoto page (famfam icons)
• Addition of french and german languages which are current as of 2.61.
• Ability to specify an external image for a category avatar instead of tagging an ad.
• Ability to relist an ad and be prompted for payment if usergroup is set to have to pay.
• All tables changed to utf collation to assist in proper support for all foreign languages.

We are also working to improve formatting and navigation throughout the entire Model Center. You'll notice that on many of the page, you now have the option of printing out that page in an easy to read, clean formatted page.
