Holy floating mansion, Batman! If that thing has a separate restroom, he could live in it and claim the interest as he would on a house!

p.s. Tell him NOT to name it the U.S.S. Minoe. It is well documented what happened to that onw near the coast of Holliwood

23.8 Ft. Searayto be exact Ryan

He wants to name her Gerry, but has yet to come up with the right name.....

He has wanted this since he was a young kid sittin on the dock fishin with the weakest of tackle....I have never been much on fishing but the times I took the boys out really stayed with Ben and to this day he loves to fish.
Being able to take the guys out and beat them silly on an inner tube sounds like fun to him too

That's a great looking boat. Whatever the name is, it's got to be clever. My family has a boat but the engine needs some work so it's kind of fallen into disuse but man do I miss it.

    Chas,

If this doesn't prove that time DOES goes faster when you are having fun, I don't know what will.

Does Ben go back to the sand box, or is he finally beginning the the chopper training?

Hang in there pal. I know that either way it hurts parents see their "boy" go, but I was hoping that at least Ben would get a much more fun assigment this time around.

    Thanks Amigo

It went by faster than ever but we made the most of his brief time home.

He is waiting in Atlanta now for his flight to Kuwait and on to the sand again. He is due out in August and looks forward to starting his schooling asap.
He said he has to become a Warrant Officer first and turned in his packet before coming home. He expects to have an answer before he returns home. He really made the most of his time here going to 3 games, getting his boat, watching the NHL playoffs, hitting the nature trails to view the Bald Eagles and so on.

Okay, Chas. I know Ben is a SSG but does he really have to make mom stand at parade rest for him?

When did Ben make Staff Sgt.?

I am still in the US getting the knees, etc. repaired. Down in Louisiana at the moment taking care of an old friend that has worse joints than me. Beats the heck out of sitting around watching the paint dry while waiting for the next procedure at the VA.

If Ben goes back through Rota tell him to stop into Molly's by the el Puerto gate and have a few on me. I'll settle up with Ian when I get back.

Edmond, where are you stationed now? I just picked up a Glock 23 and need some instruction/coaching.

Ben made SSG before he deployed, however there was an issue with his points or something that they had to investigate and he officially made it about 2 or 3 months ago.
He got a sweet raise and now he is waiting for his approval to move on to Warrant Officer so he can begin helicoptor pilot training and school.
He expects that he will have everything in line to begin school in Ft.Rucker later this year after his current tour ends in August or such...
He sent a message from Iraq that he made it back ok and has actually started to pack and secure his personal effects for the trip home in a couple months.

All the best in your "repairs" and heres to a proper recovery

    Default A sad day.....

As I have told you a member of their unit was murdered by a sniper and they took time to have a ceremony.
He was a very decorated and dedicated American that we will never forget.
