    Default A medal this time!

My son Ben graduated Basic Training at Ft. Sill with honors in 2005. He was one of 7 men chosen out of over 200 to be an honor graduate for his dedication and effort to be the best.
After he graduated boot camp he was stationed at Ft. Sill to complete his training as a Gunner on a howitzer team.
From Feb. 2005 thru Feb. 2007 he must have kept the same pace he set early on as his Section Chief nominated him for The ARMY Achievement award.
The Battery Comander and Battalion Commander concured and just before he left Ft. Sill to go to Ft. Riling and prepare for Deployment to Iraq in the next week or so, He was awarded The ARMY Achievement Award ....

"For Meritorious service while serving as a Gunner. His Dedication to duty in keeping with the finest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, the Big Deuce Battalion, and the United States ARMY"

And to think I was proud of his previous achievements.

    HOOAH My son...HOOAH indeed!

That's outstanding! Next time you talk or correspond with Ben, let him know all your Corvette buddies share your pride in him.
