My grandfather was a WWII vet. He never spoke of it but he never missed Remembrance Day while he was alive.

Great video. We have a friend in the club who had both her parents go on an Honor Flight in the past couple of weeks. Their flight was late getting back but there were still 700 people waiting for them at 1:00 am when they returned.

Many Thanks Mac....
So many gave so much that we could have Freedom.......its hard to find words that tell how I feel, my father, and various uncles all served in WWII and all came home alive. Most are gone now and yet my son follows in their footsteps today.
I am going to leave what I have to say as " Thank you "....I never miss a chance to shake the hand of a Vet.
A bunch of teenage American's kicked Hitler's ass...who would have thunk it at the time?
Thanks again, Charlie and Theresa S.

Our club just sponsored a third vet last month, NFNWO has sent 462 so far. Sentinel-Tribune Daily Newspaper | Bowling Green Ohio Plus I suggested that we send the Iraq personnel 33,000 phone minutes on prepaid cards just before the holidays. Got some nice letters back and one from the commanding Air Force officer that handled it in Iraq. Went through the USO in Cleveland to get that done.
Glad to see the vets get the recognition but we should remember that we have people over there doing the same dirty job today that can also use our support.

What a great idea, Dad! Well done!!

The entire club did work on this; I only kicked off the idea. That idea started while I was talking to my cousin, (90 this year), at another family members funeral. He had never talked about his time in the Navy until then and his story got to me. So I wanted to help get him over to the D.C. memorial. The list was much to long and he never made it and is now in an assisted living home.
An individual can give to these honor flights in memory or memorial to any veteran they choose, so in a way they can still go along.
So don't think about it, do it, they deserve action like they did for us.
