Don't they still use the term ............. "shavetail" ...... or has that faded into obscurity?

I was gonna' ask that you send a few pics of ....

It kills me to see you wearing glasses ... I was pulled out and was getting sent to OCS twice back in the 60's .... and got booted out cause I was wearing glasses. With no college you needed 20/40 max .... unless they ran short and then suddenly it was OK ... I was like 20/200.

A few of the definitions I saw on the net for "shavetail" ..... dead wrong .... they described a mustang ....

Anyhoo ..... congrats ...... you made a great choice .... and yes, there is a tinge envy .... I steered a few of the young guys where I worked away from those enlisted deals they were pitching at them. All I had to do was tell em' of my assignment to ........ "ketchup cap detail" ..... three weeks of cleaning every freaking ketchup cap in the galley/mess of the Millington (Memphis) training school. After each meal, each cap had to be washed and double rinsed ..... you started at 0500 and went to about 1800 hours ....
