    Default RIP - Nutmegbronze

To all my L81 registry pals, I have to sadly admit that the special primer 1981 was upgraded to a 2002 Torch Red 6-spd Convertible. The old '81 served me well and for many, many years of trouble free driving joy. But time and wear started to take its toll and it was time to upgrade especially when I could not pass up the deal on the '02. She will likely end up in the hands of someone that wants to do a little extra work and put this car back in show quality.

Please don't toss me out of the club . I'm still a L81'er at heart. Pics of the new ride once it stops frigging raining. Hasnt rained most of the spring until I go buy a new car.

Thanks Rob! Been too long my old friend. We need to catch up one day.

Dale.... poured for two days after I bought Patti a her Lexus too. Yeah, I got blamed for that.

Bill.... will make the Carlisle run a lot more comfortable and economical.

Bob.... Jody sent me a Facebook blurp and told me you got rid of your '77 too. And yes, we are hopefully planning a run through Cummins and Greenville (SC) in the near futurre to disperse a couple checks to my cousins from my mom's estate. Stay tuned.

So did you trade or sell the NutMeg? and does the person or dealer know what they have when comes to 1981 Historical DOCUMENTED Corvettes??

I guess I will see the new registration come through the Registry

Enjoy your 02. We like our 03, but me personally I would rather drive RARE any day nothing like the sound of the flowmasters and going through the gears of a 4-Speed

    Enjoy

Congratulations, Bob!!! As much as those C3's are soooo pretty, there's nothing like a C5 for comfort, gas mileage, performance, on and on!!

I know Bud. I wish I had the room for both. I traded it as selling private has been very difficult and every time I put it in the paper I was inundated with brokers trying to get me to send them ridiculous money for them to sell to "all their waiting customers"; which of course is a boat load of crap. I gave the guy all the documentation I had regarding the rarity. I kept copies for historical reference. Guess we'll see if it pops up on one of the websites in the near future.

And I was trying to think of a new name, but I guess "nut" covers just about whatever I am driving. hahaha

Well I'll be......I step out for a few months and all hell breaks loose!!!

How could you, man???? That is sacrilegious!!!....

    Just teasing, Bob!

I do not know what I would do, but my kids are expecting to inherit Gail, so I would have to find alternate means to fund a new Vette.

I truly hope that the new owner find its way in here. It would be cool to see her rise up again like Gail did.

Congratulations on the 2002 young apple of your eyes. I would like to see pictures of her.
