    Default Another...what is this?

On the rear, below the bumper cover, approximately next to the muffler hangers; there is a rectangular piece on both sides that bolts to the rear cross-member.....what are they for?

I'm not sure on 81,But my 78 has the ZN1 Factory Towing Package and thats where the draw bar that is stowed in the rear compartment behind the seats bolts to the car! Look up between the spar tire cover and frame,(just left of the license pocket)Is there a trailer lighting pigtail zip tied up there somewhere??

I think you are seeing the impact guards and shipping/towing tie downs.

Default Backup Lights mounts for me

I replaced my tails lights with the 4 bubble lens and I used those brackets to mount some LED strip lights to and wired up for my backup lights........they were there not being used so gave me a good place to mount lights.
