Cobalt Problems

Hello, A friend has a newer Cobalt, ignition key won't turn, any one familiar with this problem, Thanks

there are repair proceadures for this posted by gm for their techs bring it to the dealer for repair steve

jiggle the steerin wheel back and forth while trying to turn key, or if wheel is not locked, turn it till it locks, then key should turn if all else is working.

Tried all of that, can't get it to the dealers.....

if thre car is under warranty the dealer will tow it in no charge . I do not think a regular back yard person could do the repairs but i could be wrong steve

Thanks bradfordvettes, It's an 05, im not sure on the warranty, a local tow co. got it to the dealers, believe it or not the owner is a certified BMW mech. w/ local dealer for years. He told me he's afraid to drive a car with the possibility of the steering wheel locking. Sounds familiar. Thanks again...............
