That is a really good price.

Anyone redyed their seats
I did a search and really didn't find what I was looking for. I've got an 88 with the sport seats (leather). The side bolsters on the drivers side are getting worn. I've also got a stain on the passenger seat that was there when I bought it and could never get it out.
Talked with the service manager at the dealership (who is a friend that I trust) and they have a guy that does all their interior work. For $350 he will redye both seats and remove the stain. He will also take care of most of the cracks so that the seats will look almost new. He will also reglue the carpeting on the doors where it is separating. I don't think that is too bad of a price but I have never had seats redyed and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with redying their seats. I am also curious as to how long the new dye holds up. Am I wasting my time (and money)?
I looked around and it would be around $800 to replace the seats with vinyl and about twice that for leather. So I'm thinking $350 isn't too bad of a price but again, don't have anything to base it on.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron

Thanks for the article. Sure couldn't find it when I did a search. I'm still waiting for the guy to do mine. He's having trouble getting the dye for my 88 red interior. He's fixing a couple of minor issues along with the seats so after 3 weeks of waiting I'm anxious to get it done.
