    Default new garage almost done

just wanted to show off the almost completed new garage. I need to do a little more work on the outside (finish installing stone) and then complete interior. some stats for you all: size is 24x36 with 12' high column free ceilings (using two steel beams) there is going to be a 24x36 shop on 2nd floor accessed via interior stairs. The "barn" concept came from the many stories we have all heard over the years about corvettes found in a barn. This was a blast to do as it combines my two hobby's, corvettes and architecture (yes, i am an architect). If anyone cared about seeing a garage, i figured you folks would.

I always love seeing garages, I practically live in mine. Your new garage sure looks nice. So do your Vettes!. Man, I would love to have a mid-year! especially a '63 Split-Window! I like the concept of "Vettes found in the barn". When you get the interior complete, you need to post some more pictures. Sounds like you will have plenty of space! By the way, welcome to CAC!

    thanks bill
yeah- room should not be a problem. I built the height in it for future lifts. The best part of all was the wife was the one to convince me to do this. I think she was tired of shoveling snow off of her car outside. Thanks for the reply and the welcome. I will post pics when done. The goal is to finish the exterior stone, then move to interior. Your garage looks great too.

Dean - Very, very nice! Your thoughtful planning shows very well.
I would be interested to see more pictures. I spend all the free time I can in my garage.

Dean, That is a beautiful building. Like Bill, I too have always enjoyed checking out garages and shops of others. I started construction of my shop last March and I am about 90% finished.
Construction began after 18 mos. of problems with the town's zoning board. If the kids were not in school I would have moved.
My wife too was in complete support and it was she who first brought up moving. We finally received permission to build a
different layout and as I mentioned I started a year ago. Please post more pictures if you are able, and Bill I will not be a hypocrite, I will post some photos of my place in the next few weeks.

    All the best,
    JS
