Lightbulb Could this be the next Corvette ?...

Hi; I'm a big fan of all things Corvette, an artist, and took Industrial design,
    so naturally
I always wonder what the next
    generation Corvette might look like,
(purely a doodle that I ended up rendering).100_0559.jpg

    That's a C6 with an after market hood and facia. I wouldn't call that a C7.

There are times for thinking, and times for acting, but the art is in the balance

    Default It's a nice sketch, but ...

... even the Corvette designers have to pay a certain degree of homage to practicality and your version has very limited driver visibility, among other things. All the same, the wild drawings that eventually become production cars are usually run through a long series of filters by engineers and test mules.

Whatever ends up churning out of Bowling Green will be finely honed, unlike a concept sketch borne of an artist's fevered dreams.

I just hope the C7 is revolutionary, unlike the retro look of the C6. It's time to move ahead and stop playing to the nostalgia crowd like was done with Mustang, Challenger, Camaro and Corvette.

And please ... not that garish thing from Transformers. What a cartoon that is.

I always liked that one. It was one of the proposals for the C5 and came from GMs California Styling Studio. I think Cafaro did it.

Is there any thought to get rid of the cloth top convert and have a hardtop convert like the Mercedes, Miata, Audi, BMW etc?
