Cutting the model year short means that a lot of retooling and line reconfiguration etc. is planned. Maybe the C7 won't just be a C 6 1/2 like early reports indicated. Maybe the General has finally figured out that half measures don't cut it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!
This news, along with the huge dollar and manpower investment announced earlier for BG makes me believe this model change may be huge. The C7 may well determine the continuation of the Corvette name. I just don't believe GM can continue to support an engineering staff and a plant and all the rest of the overhead for 12,000 vehicles a year at the current margins.
In the meantime, there are sreamin' deals on C6s out there.![]()
