05 Steering lock

Ok, I have decided to take my 05 coupe to a dealer to fix the no start doors won't open problem, but as we got the roll back to the house, we discovered that the steering column is locked too. Is there any way to unlock this with no power or whatever?? So far, my 1 week old purchase has not been a happy one...

HI there,
The basic problem is LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE>
Once that is cured, you should be fine.

To all, thanks for the input. However, I wanted you all to know that although your suggestions were on the mark for most issues, my particular one appears to be due to a short in the BCM harness. It is at the Chevy Dealer now, and they are working it as we speak. Not sure of the root cause, but I will post once we are complete.
