    Default Squeek from front end

I was having a really bad front end squeek on my 2005 coupe. Everytime I would hit a small bump or dip in the road I would hear this annoying noise from the front end. I took the car to my local Chevy dealer. After checking the front end and attempting to lube everything they determined that the noise was coming from the front leaf spring. A new spring was ordered and I was called in two weeks to have the repair done. When they removed the spring they found a rock the size of a large marble wedged into the leaf spring and causing a gouge in the glass spring. They said that this is the first time they have ever seen anything like that. All repairs were covered under the warranty and it sure is great to not have to listen to that annoying noise. Has anyone else ever seen/heard of such a thing on there Vette?

I have no idea, I haven't even had the car down any gravel roads. So I guess I just got lucky/unlucky and a rock somehow got wedged in the spring area. Just a very wierd thing.

I didn't even know that they had a leaf spring in the front end.

    HI there,
You have a very small area in between the leaf spring and the lower control arms in c6.
    Common, no.
    Seen, yes.
    Glad they got it resolved.
