    Default Z06 Convertibles ?

Saw 2 of them this weekend!

Okay, they were not real, factory Z06 convertibles but they looked pretty good. There was a 2005 and a 2006 convertible at the Corvette Expo in Enid, Oklahoma this weekend (Corvettes of Enid sponsor) that the owners had replaced the standard fenders with Z06 fenders, added Z06 badging and Z06 wheels/tires. They also had the original LS2's redone with bigger bores and strokes to create Z06 levels of performance in a convertible. Both were very nice.

Another C6 coupe had the just the rear fenders replaced with the Z06 stuff so he could put on the bigger tires and wheels on the rear. Interesting combination. Something to consider for a future mod to the Tuna Sport.

Too bad you didn't take any pictures I bet the convertible with flared rear fenders looked awsome. I don't think I'd want the wider tires in the front though. How much did these guys have to invest to bring these cars up to semi Z06 status?
