    Default Retractable hardtop coming??

    It looks like all of the verts are going to the retractable hardtop and l'm sure the vette is not too far away.

    Since they allready have it on the Caddy it will be an easy thing to convert.

    Not sure this would be an option for Corvette. The amount of weight this would add would likely greatly affect the performance. Look at the weight of the XLR compared to the Corvette currently:

    XLR - 3674 lbs.
    Corvette Convertible - 3199 lbs.

    That's currently 475 lb. difference which is not all the top, but I'm not sure it's a direction Corvette would go. I aslo realize the Caddy doesn't get all the weight saving options the Vette gets.

    The only way I would see it possibly working to avoid the additional weight would probably involve all manual operation.

    I just hate the retractable hardtop look.

    I'm really a ragtop man but because of my dog l need a coupe.
