That's great news for you, when will you be able to touch the car? I just can't understand how you can be so calm about it!!
If you are half as excited as I am about mine, you are going to have to get your grin surgically removed.

My Corvette(s): '06 VR Roadster - Soon | Grin . . . What grin,it's been there since I ordered it!!!!!
I just wish I would have known then what I know now about the Museum Delivery option! I would be leaving shortly to pick it up. As it is now, I will have to wait another couple weeks . . . but that's only if the snow stays away!!
If I would have known when it was going to be built earlier, I would have at least scheduled a trip down to tour the place while it was on the line with the hope of being the 1st to drive it off! O Well!! Next time!!

My Corvette(s): 2005 Le Manns blue convertible |
I purchase my C6 last month from a dealer. I love it! I was going to wait and order one of the 2006's, and pick it up from the museum, but got anxious when I saw this hot blue convertible on the lot. It was a special order, but the person who ordered it had to back out due to health.

What happens next, does it go by Truck or Train, how many miles from Bowling Green to Zimmerman? when does it arrive at the dealer? You can't keep us hanging on like this, I need to know exactly what's happening and when you get to collect it!

It goes to this guy, where he tests drives it and then ships it back to you. General Motors test driver

O.k, this is the part you don't want to know but i have to tell you what happens now.Comes out of the plant semi rapped in plastic except the tail and parked with 200-300 others. Out in the SNOW,out in the RAIN ,out in FREEZING sleet, for as much as two weeks. In most cases after de-iceing it's shipped by rail to a distribution point. The next step is to load it on the top of the truck for dealer delivery. The car has been backed on so the exposed rear is facing forward.Did i mention it took two runs for the driver to get the car in place. After being trucked to the dealer in a hail storm it's dumped off in the middle of the night.(outside). Next day is dealer prep., the new kid with the scrub brush goes to work. So for all those people who say ''my car has never seen snow or rain'' . Was that to much info?

I think 6 Shooter posted a picture of the lot one time. It's just cool seeing so many of them like that.
I talked to my friend in Minnesota today, she said the snow is there! Hey, I could fly down and drive it up for you.

When 6 Shooter took my brother and I on a tour he took us out back. It was amazing! Had to have been 3 hundred brand spanking new Vettes just waiting to go to thier new home. It was something I will never forget. Thanks 6 Shooter, my brother and I still talk about that trip.
