Default zo6 convertible?

I started this thread in the c6 general discussion section because there are people like me who only think in terms of rag tops, who are unlikely to visit the zo6 section.

Well, here's a way to get a zo6 convertible
http://www.coachbuildersltd.com/

Personally I'd rather they took Chevy convertible componants and started their coach building from there.

The price of the ZO6 is so high to begin with, and then to add $12,500 for the conversion? There are many nice clean used Ferrari's out there for that price. Not to mention the direct competition: factory Viper convertables.

Or you could modify a C6 convertible to Z06 like power specs.

Ed that may be true, but this new zo6 comes with alot more hardware than just the engine. Aluminum frame, suspension, brakes, etc, etc and body panels to hold those wide azz wheels. I just want to help shame Chevy mgt into offering the z06 as a convertable. Dodge isn't afraid to put 500hp in a convertible... why is Chevy?

Terry, the only explanation is that Chevy just doesn't make sense sometimes and they sometimes don't listen to the consumer.

I feel the same way you do. Heck, I'd "settle" for a removable top on the C6 Z06 (that's if I could afford one). A removable top is better than nothing.

Caravaggio will probably have a convertible conversion for the Z06 using factory parts. He did for the C5 Z06. http://www.caravaggiocorvettes.com/

Junkie,

Cool avatar of the 'vert while it's on the trailer! How did you get there at such an opportune time to snap the pic?
