Purchased a 2006 this weekend with it delivered today. The car only has 19,000 miles on it. The paint and interior are immaculate. I'll get some better pictures up this weekend. We're going to the mountain.
I need to get am IPod connection. I can't stand not having it. I've seen some mention to using tthe XM radio connection.
And I definitely need to change the exhaust. I have a Corsa setup on the Daytona and this is whisper quiet.

Thanks Roger and thanks for the info. I was looking at a PAL unit that someone over at CF was talking about.

Gotta ask
Bob,
I have to ask you how it feels driving the C6 after so many years of driving the C3?
My neighbor bought a 2003 anniversary edition about a year after I got my LT-1, and the 1st time I saw his car leaving his driveway I said to myself "I have to get myself one of those."
The best thing that happened to me was my 1st ride in his "passenger" seat. The car drove great like you'd expect, but it felt like, and sounded like a Caddy from where I was sitting. I remember saying to myself this is a Caddy, not a Vette, and I was grateful that the drive killed any yearnings I might have had for a new one.
But like I said, I was in the "passneger" seat, and the only Vette's I've ever driven are mine and my cousin's new '77 back in '77.
I currently have a "gentlemen's agreement" with a young man who is coming up from FL this weekend to take the LT-1 and I'm not sure what I'm gonna do down the road, so I'm interested in your inputs regarding your C3-C6 experience.
Thanks in advance,
-JS
Thanks Tom & Steve.
JS,
They are revolutionarily (is that a word) different. The 77 was the best handling car I had driven at that point, though underpowered. The seats were reasonably comfortable but the cabin was hot even when the a/c was blowing out 40 degree air. It was loud and it was stiff. The steering was recirculating ball and had a little bit of a tendency to drift. You had to pay attention.
The 06 is a completely different beast. All of the creature comforts of a Caddy, though you would never mistake the ride for one, with the power and handling of a state of the art sports car. You could put the top up, turn on the automatic air and some good music and drive all day. I would be worn out if I tried to do that with the 77.
The main reason I sold the 77 was I quit driving it. I had bought a Dodge Daytona that outhandled the Vette, overpowered it and was a very comfortable car to take a trip in. And I got old.
Hope this answers your question.
Bob
