Default Help Me Price a 2007 Convertible

I sold my C3 this morning. Being the practical guy I am, I immediately went out looking for a C6. I found a 2007 automatic convertible with 38,000 miles for $31,000, though I have found that the dealer has listed it on a couple of web sites for $500 less. The car is in great shape. What do you guys think of the value. I have no sense of value on the C6.

The dealer is listing it as having the 3LT trim package. It doesn't seem to have the any of the more popular options such as Z51, magnetic suspension, exhaust or NAV. The top is manual.

I'm thinking of offering $29,500. Based on other pricing, KBB, etc., this appears to be a good deal. I'm thinking of offering $29,500. What do you think.

Well from experience you'll see a whole new world .Lets see the $31,000 is in the ball park ,Mileage isn't bad ,vert is good .3lt pkg should have memory and heads up display (thats good) .unless your into performance driving (serious stuff) the z51 is a waste .Magnetic ride is something you'll never notice is missing coming from a C3.Exhaust is a great aftermarket custom thing that can always be added .The GM Nav system sucks (buy a Garmin for $200) never had anyone say it is great .Power top should be with the 3lt group but if it's not ,no loss as the power top is trouble waiting to malfunction .

Having driven a 69 for 280,000 miles the only thing that I know for sure is you'll love it .Good luck and tell us about the colors.Oh ,the automatic is real popular among old folks

    Careful, I resemble that remark.

Your thoughts mimic mine. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the pricing.

The car is Garnet, I think.

I'm looking at a couple of other possibilites, but this car is a serious contender. The wife said I had too wait but couldn't herself. Once you get the fever.

    Thanks for the fedback.

    Hi Bob!

Vett boy was pretty thorough with his reply and it sounds like, well, sound advice.

But... and I must admit I've not priced a 2007 recently, $31K for a 5 year old, 38,000 mile car seems high to me. I'd go with your instinct to offer $29500 and see what happens.

And "Garnet" sounds like Monterey Red... my favorite C6 color.

    Good luck!
Let us know how it works out.

The problem with pricing the car is the mileage. The 2007 and 2008 cars, with a few exceptions, have fairly low miles and are asking 10k more, with a few exceptions. Look at some of the pricing in the C6 sale sections here. This is the lowest priced car I've seen in this year. Granted it does not have all of the options that some of the others have, most noticeably power roof, suspension, exhaust and nav.

A 3LT convertible should have the power top - at least that's what my Black Book says. Saying that is has a manual top makes me want to ask if it's really a 3LT car.

Heads-Up, memory and a few other things are part of 3LT. Check the RPO sticker - it should be on the glove box door.

The car does have a power top. I checked the pictures on the original ad.

It seems to be a buyers market right now.

Interested in a 2008 vert in Oklahoma?
