Z06 airlid vs hp

Hi folks, just put a Z06 air lid on and took it for a run (roads still dry here believe it or not) It seemed to be quite an improvement. Not sure if it was just my imagination or not. Anybody have an idea if it actually adds any horsepower or not if thats the only change? How long does it take the computor to adjust as well? I had it out for about 50 miles. Thanks

Hi there. Just saw your post about the Z06 air lid you put on last summer. I just got a 2001 Coupe which apparently has several mods already on it. I pulled the K&N flat filter out today and putting it back I had some problems and had to pull the air lid. It's very different than the ones I saw on the website. I'm wondering if it's a Z06 air lid. Do you have a picture of yours? I'd like to compare.

No sorry I don't but if you search Z06 airlids you will see a thread that shows both. The original is just a small opening while the Z06 lid opening is about 8" long and about 1 and 1/2" deep.
So has nobody ever compared a Z06 air lid to a blackwing to see how much more performance the blackwing has?
