Default remote door lock not working (drivers side only)

the drivers door on my 2004 coupe is not working with the remote or with the unlock button , only works manually with the key, could it be the cold? was 10 degrees this morning, also what if you had a new corvette -they have no key, how whould you get in the car?

    HI there,
    1 or 2 possiblities.
Door lock actuator could be lazy.
Door control module could not be supplying voltage or the ground source.

    HI there,
    No, I dont think so.
You may also have an issue with either of the above.
When you use the transmitter, do they unlock one for the drivers and 2 for the passenger????

    c4c5,

yes they do unlock with fob. the car has 4,500 miles on it. is this best left to the dealer? (i hate to) or can i test the mod. or ground if i take the door panel off? thanks.

    Hi there,
Honestly, you are still under warranty, so I would simply take it back to the dealer and show them exactly what it is doing.
Fact is that there could be a bad connection, or other things that could cause the condition.
And it wont cost you anything as long as nothing has been modified in the door.

    Hi there,
You might want to spray some WD-40 in the locks and latches.
This is a moisture displacement lubricant and would drive moisture out of any parts.
