Default DIC (Driver information center) erratic

    Anyone have this problem?

I have a 2001 Z06 and frequently my DIC starts to scroll through its pages. I may have it set at "odometer" then while driving it catches my attention as it is scrolling through "trip A", trip B, Avg. MPG, etc. then it will just stop. Tonight while out for a cruise it performed its "scrolling" then stopped (blank) completely. I turned the ignition off, re-started and back to normal DIC?

    Any suggestions?

    HI there,
It sounds to me that you have the #3 button that is intermittantly contacting, creating the condition.
I would check for codes, as you may have a code in the DIC.
Definately warranty related as long as you are within miles and time.

    Default update on DIC

Thanks for the advice on checking the codes, but my problem is updated... Today I cannot bring up any DIC info, no MPG, no amps, no oil pressure, no trip. I only displays door ajar, traction control on/off. I tried locating a fuse for the DIC, but only found one for the dashbord. I will bring it in for service if I have to, I just don't want to bring it in for someting that I can easily fix in my garage.

    Hi there,
Honestly, you just diagnosed and confirmed that there is a sticking switch. When one sticks, it will not react to the others.
The switch is available separately, and the DIC will have to be removed in order to replace it.
