My Corvette(s):
Default Z51

I am considering a 2002 C5 but it has the Z51 package. Will the ride be harsh on smooth roads? This car will never see a track so I am not sure if the Z51 package will be an asset or a liability for my driving situation. Comments ?

Their is a slight diff. in the ride but not enough for most folks to know the diff.. With it you get a 44 mill. shock as opposed to a 38 mill. a little larger sway bar and springs with a power sterring cooler. Worth the money and should help on resale.

I have an 02 Coupe w/ Z51. I love the way my Vette handles. The biggets issue is the run flats not the suspension.

I drive in the ny metro area with the vette and when I had my 99 C5 it had the Z51 suspension. Its not at all like the z51 from the C4..this one is very nice riding.

Go for it.

We have an 02 Coupe 6 speed with the Z51 package. I think the ride is just what one should expect from a sports car. Crisp handling and good feedback from the road.

I don't think you can go wrong with this choice.
