Thread: need mcgard wheel tool

    Default need mcgard wheel tool

    help had run flat repaired @ poconos tyre shop . the "craftsman " DAMAGED the lug nut remover. MCGARD TOOL . Will fit if tapped on lug nut,but won t releace lug nut, stuck in tool..2000 c5 I don t have key tag number. purchased new set at gm dealerbut are lighter in weight. when mounted on wheel could feel out of balance while driving . does anyone have any ideas .. thanx guys !! a big

    Sorry to hear you had a problem. Some shops just have had little experience on repairing run-flats. Just guessing, but I would think that had the mounted tire and rim been balanced properly, you'd find little "out of balance" problems. The weight difference in the one new MCGARD lugnut should make a negligible difference. I would suspect the problem lies with the patch in that tire and a poor balance job. I'd have the tire rebalanced at a reputable local shop. Good luck and let us know your outcome. We all learn from it!
