    Default Is a Difference Between These Trans Fluids?

    Dealer parts dept. had both on shelf.

    Same lubricant. Different container. Look at the PN on both. It's the same....88861800

    But...if you want the T56 in your Z06 to shift nicer, use either Red Line D4 ATF or Red Line MTL.

    Which one would be better for my application Hib,I don't beat the car much and do mostly Highway driving.I've found where I can get it around here ,but I have to drive 50 miles!

    For your duty cycle, the best wold be a 50/50 mix of D4 ATF and MTL, but if you don't what the complexity of mixing, straight D4 works well. Provided the clutch and clutch hydraulics are ok and there are no pre-existing transmission issues, most users switching from conventional Dexron to D4 experience a decrease in shift effort.

    Yes sir...I find that's the best place for transmission fluid
