F55 Shocks
04 equipped with F55 Magnetic Ride. Have a rear shock that is starting to leak. Anyone have any suggestions? I know there is a conversion kit that blocks the DIC message and allows regular shocks but would like to keep original. Understand a replacement shock is crazy costwise but have not found one on usual vette supply houses. Have not checked with GM.

Graybird, I thought I heard somewhere (maybe here ???) that the originals could be rebuilt for a lot less money than purchasing new ones. Paul will be able to give you the right info when he chimes in.

To my knowledge, F55 shocks cannot be "rebuilt".
There were some rumors on the other forum that they could be repaired, but that rumor was debunked.
