C6 Z06 shocks on a C5

I just noticed that GM parts house has the C6 Z06 shocks ($240) for about 2/3rds the price of the C5 Z06 shocks. Has anybody tried these (direct replacement on C5) I am looking to install them on a baseline 97 so I figure there should be a very noticable difference.

HI there,
The travel of the shocks differ from c5 to c6.
Yes, you can bolt them on, but they will not optimize the suspension.
C5 ZO6 shocks are the best choice.
Just remember to REPLACE the lower rear shock bolts and nuts and torque correctly.
