New 180' Hypertech Thermostat

Bought a new, in the box, 180' thermostat from Hytpertech, Part # 1015, & found out that it will not work on my car. It will fit 1999-2003 LS1-LS6 engines. I called Hypertech & they said that it fits LS6 engines up to 2003, not my 2004 Z06, as they misunderstood what year car I said I had. Comes with rubber gasket.
