2004 Torch Red Coupe
Default Radar Detector Bracket. Freebie. IT' GONE.

Gang,

When I purchased my '04 last year I spent some time going through the 'vette catalogs. Got some good stuff (the lid that goes over the passenger compartment and suctions to the side windows to keep the leaves and birds out when the top is off is great!) and some not so good (purchased two different style Corvette travel mugs, neither fit into the cup holder very well!) and a couple not used.

One of the items I bought but never installed is a Radar Detector Bracket, 01-04 by Vettequest LLC. Can't remember which catalog it came out of, but may have been MidAmerica.

Anyhow, it fits the Valentine and others (according to the ad when I bought it) and attaches to the rear view mirror. According to the instructions since there is no mounting screw on the C5 mirror this thingie is to be super glued to the underside of the mirror. The detector is then threaded onto the bracket shaft.

I looked at it, laughed at it, and forgot about it until I was tidying up a bit this morning. Rather than toss it I figured someone here might want the thing. It has a part number of 43269 A17-5-15 should anyone care to look in the catalog.

If anyone wants it, shoot me a message via email and I'll drop it in a jiffy bag in the mail, no charge. I can't remember what the thing costs, it was only a few dollars.

(I found that the Valentine will fit very nicely on the driver's side of the mirror and is darned near invisible, so that's how I'm mounting mine. I do agree taking the @#$@# suction cups off everytime I park the car with the top of is a pain).

Jim
