    Default cold air intakes ??

For those of you who have followed any of my threads, I have 3 vettes all having at least 400 hp. I just purchased a 2007 GMC Denali w/ 380hp. Not quit 400, so now my question, I'm looking for a source for a descent cold air intake that may push me to the plus 400hp area.
Has anyone come across a site for intakes for SUVs or does anyone have any other ideas that does'nt involve engine work or exhaust that makes it sound like a tank.
Sorry for the SUV question, hope it ties in some how..

    Thanks. Jim

My son-in-law added a Volant cold air system to his Dodge Ram Hemi. I've never driven his truck but he feels it added about 15-20 hp. He told me that AEM also makes cold air systems for trucks/SUV's. Sorry I can't help you any more than this.

Go Volant! You should be able to search around for a website to find it and your SUV will not sound like a tank.

I have a Jeep SRT8 with 420+hp and a lot of these are being modified as you plan to do although it seems most are a being used for drag racing and the louder they are the better. However the Volant makes one that is popular and is inclosed and is quiet. Another is the one sold by Mopar dealers that is made by DUB which also sells under it's own brand. It is also enclosed and quiet.

The ones with the exposed cone shaped filters are more popular and according to the dyno tests posted on the forum produce a little more hp (15+/-) but do increase the noise, especially when combined with something like a Borla catback exhaust. Most popular of these is made by B. Woody but they may specialize in Mopar products. KN also makes one for your car and a couple of others. Good luck.
