Default Rear view Mirror Question

Hey C5'ers! I got a rear view mirror from a 1999 C5 to put in my 1977 'Vette. Does anybody know the function of the small hole on the bottom right, or the 2 slots on the back on either side, or how the wires hook up? Basically, anything you can tell me about this mirror would be appreiciated. Thanks!

Hey there,

The small hole on the bottom right is probably for the night light. This dim light shines down on the area by the shifter and stays on the entire time the car is on day or night. Also, C5's come with optional auto-dimming mirrors (wish I had them) which I don't think you have here so the other wires must be there to supply electric to the map lights. Sorry I don't know how to hook them up.

Hope I helped a little.

Very helpful--that was the key to my understanding--the small LED at the bottom was throwing me. Thanks!
