My Corvette(s):
2001 Pewter coupe
Default passenger sport seat problem

The upper & lower lumbar as well as the side bolsters on the passenger seat of my '01 coupe do not work. I looked under the seat and cut the wire tie that holds the motor to the seat frame and found that the motor seems to be working, but it doesn't sound as strong as the functioning drivers seat...it sounds like it is running slower. The three switches seem to be functioning OK. It took apart the seat upolstery and peeled it back. The tubes that operate the bladders seem to be connected and intact.

Does anyone know if the housing at the end of the motor that operates the lumbars supports and the side bolsters is a single unit (pump & motor)?? It appears that one end of the motor is where the powers leads are connected (hardwired) and at the other end, it appears to be an air pump of some sort. Am I correct??? Can the motor and pump be purchaced by itself?

Any comments are welcome,

Thanks,

Dave
