I prefer to buy new cars but the C5 speaks to me. I like the look, less electronics. If anything happened to my car I would find another C5, I like my Lemans blue but Millenium Yellow grabs me also. If I had to get a new car the GS would be my choice.
Also the color choices on the new cars suck. I liked 4 of the colors in 2004. For 2012 I could only tolerate one and I don't really like it.
The first weeks that I owned it I spent time with the manual and turned off all automatic features.
Headlights, security, installed cags eliminator. Love the C5 and plan on keeping it forever or as long as possible.

I have owned every generation with the exception of the C6 and I still have one that I feel is the BEST of the bunch.... My 1981 4-Speed Oh the C5 is a nice highway cruiser. I think it rides and drivers nicer than the 02 Lincoln LS we had, but another story.. As far as enjoyable and FUN to drive I will take my 1981 any time over all the others..

Just something about an OLD Fashioned 4-Speed and there is nothing like a set of FlowMaster 40's and going through the gears... The 81 is nice ride and everything works (Air Conditioning ) great ... it actually is a very sweet ride.. plus it is easier to get in and out of..

Just my $.02... No offense ABBY, but I would miss the 1981 more than the 03 should a tornado hit or someone steal one of them ...

I am really trying to figure out how to justify getting a C3 to go with my C5. I do love them!
    Some people are like slinkies,
They don't really have a purpose,
But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I have owned a C3, a C4, a C5, and now a C6. Each generation was an emprovement over the one before. I know everyone has their favorite generation, but for me I like the C6 and I'm glad I bought it.

I'm pretty-well hooked on the C5 as well; although better technically than the C5, the C6 styling has never really grabbed me. To some extent, it's the same story for me with the C4 styling.

Of the C1's, I like the '56-'57 best. With the C3's, I like the early styling (pre-1973) better than the later styling; it just seemed over-done to me by the time 1982 rolled around. Plus the performance was there with the early big-block C3's...

But my all-time favorite of the classic Corvettes is the C2; I've always wanted a '63 split-window coupe!
