    vetteman's wife here.....

you are absolutley right, I dont take bullshit from anyone...esp someone that that is trying to screw over someone that I care about. For me that is the bottom line, I have 20 years with this man, and I have never let anyone screw him over and be damned if I start now. I try not to be your typical redneck bitchy, but I think this totally warrants that attitude.
I will, or he will, definately let you know how things go Saturday. I am so over this whole deal. They will wish they never met me.

Again, my pleasure. Hope the spectacle gets results! If I were closer to Loganville, I'd come down there myself to root you guys on!

To Mrs. "vette_man62:" Go get 'em, girl! Given your feistiness, I'm not sure whether I should end my post there out of fearful respect; or based on your unwavering devotion to your husband, dare to inquire whether you've got any single sisters...?

You know, dealerships are just a window of the company. I have used Bryner Chevrolet In Jenkintown PA for many years. They picked up all of the other car lines dropped by GM when they came out of bankruptcy, so they work Chevrolet, Buick Cadillac and Pontiac and Oldsmobile. Now they are so good at what they do that they will do anything possible to satisfy the customer. Even if it means costing them money. They have been doing the state inspection and the annual oil change on my 2003 50th. Anniversary coupe for all the years I've owned her.

I have a 2007 Pontiac had a very complex problem with the engine not starting when cold. I won't waste your time, but in came down to the dealership 'Corvette' technician and the 'Shop foreman' working on the Pontiac after everybody had left. It took quite awhile, but it came down the build-up of deposits in the intake valves from Using regular gasoline instead of what the car called for which was 91 octane. They ran a chemical through the engine and it took a few hours, but the car was 75% repaired, and I now have to use 93 octane and a bottle of Chevron/Techron. with each fill up, and will have to do this for a year or so. Until the valves are fully clean. But it not the instance that they had a customer who had a problem and I was treated just like someone who came in for some warranty work or someone who came in for an oil change.

Cost to me? $0.00 they said why don't I pay for the rental car and they'll pay for the technicians time and work & parts. Sounded good to me and that is what happened, but more importantly they will do what-ever it takes. They have a very intense gentleman who's sole job is "Customer Satisfaction". And when you get a "customer satisfaction survey" from General Motor Company, they want you to be able to say, 'Completely Satisfied' and they don't want anyone who bought a car or are just in for warranty work of just in fro a repair job, the want you to completely satisfied. Now I must tell you that this Chevrolet company and selling Chevrolet's since 1923, and they are the single owner, the Peterson family owns everything on the lot or anything you want to order and since they pay everything themselves, there isn't any GM licensee fees or any kind of semi or duel ownership or any thing like that. They pay for everything. So if you have a problem, no matter how complex or time intensive, they don't want anyone going home unless they are completely satisfied.

So what I'm saying that since the company General Motors Company, came out of bankruptcy, Chevrolet and Bryner Chevrolet are on the same level and that is they both want the opinion of all new and future customers has to be completely satisfied. And down her we had four or five dealership who were run so bad I refused to go to them and then one day seven years age a friend told to look up Bryner Chevrolet and see if I was satisfied with them. Well that was the best thing I have happened to me. And despite them being thirty five miles from here is really not a big deal for me because I know I'm getting what I am paying for. If you use a dealership like I do, THe Pontiac is still under GMPP warranty so they always will get my warranty work and my regular serving oil changes and such.

I had dealers on my mind today because I recently ordered a new car. The "SHYSTERS" in the subject field caught my eye. Man what a freakin' horror story about Maxie Price Chevrolet.

I am so glad I've bought my last four Chevrolets from Tom Henry Chevrolet in Bakerstown PA.

    I ordered a '12 Z06.

There is no Z06 Convertible for 2013.

What will be available in 2013 is a 60th Anniversary GS convertible with the an LS7 engine option which GM is calling a "427 Convertible". There is a difference between that and a "Z06 Convertible".

    Default That's funny...

I bought TWO Vettes at Maxie Price and I have never had one bit of trouble. I live about 60 miles from them. Everyone has always been respectful and when I needed something they bent over backwards to make it right. I have never had one issue with them. When I bought my 07 there were a couple of issues and they fixed them for me right away.

Well, Paul, in fairness to Maxie Price Chevrolet (with whom I've never dealt, but who seems to have gained a bit of a reputation, based on a few of the comments left by other forum members within this post): we've only heard one side of the matter (from the OP, "vette_man62"), who has not checked back in to update the situation after stating that he and his wife were going back to Maxie Price almost two weeks ago to confront them over the alleged problems with the vehicle...

Update: Filed complaints against Maxie Price Chevrolet with Chevrolet Corporate, The Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. Still no response from the dealership. I did hear back from Chevrolet Corporate, they said Maxie Price was unwilling to try and come to a resolve. I have yet to hear back from the BBB or FTC. I have since taken care of the problems with the Corvette myself. I have owned over 65 cars in my lifetime (60% or better purchased from major dealerships), and I have NEVER had such bad customer service EVER! When a Dealership will not return your phone calls, I call that BAD customer service. At the very least, either the salesman, sales manager, or hell even the owner should grow some balls, pick up the phone, and return my call even if it is just to tell me...your on your own buddy! I could appreciate that more than their lack of communication and concern for customer service! But absolutely NO ONE has even as much as taken the effort to call me back as of today. It would be different if I bought the car somewhere like "Fred and Seth's Used Car-O-Rama", but I didn't...I bought it from a supposed "reputable" Chevrolet Dealership! Well enough ranting, I am sure nothing will come of this, and life is too short for stress and BS. I just want to express to anyone in the market for a new or used Corvette...do yourself a giant favor, steer clear of these bunch of jacklegs! ( definition for jackleg according to Merriam-Webster : a: characterized by unscrupulousness, dishonesty, or lack of professional standards <a jackleg lawyer> b: lacking skill or training:amateur<a jackleg carpenter> c : designed as a temporary expedient :makeshift ) I can honestly say, if I saw any one of those idiots from that Dealership laying in a ditch on fire, I wouldn't take the time to piss on them to put them out ...I JUST SAYIN

Noted for future reference... Sorry to hear it didn't come out more favorably...

I'm only a little bit surprised that Chevrolet Corporate reported to you that Maxie Price openly admitted to them that they were unwilling to try and resolve the problem; and that they, in return, were unwilling to put some pressure on Maxie Price in order to get them to at least address the concerns of a customer who had just purchased (albeit used) one of their flagship products (i.e., the Corvette). After what I had to go through once upon a time to get a replacement truck from GMC, it seems that GM Corporate is more interested in deferring to the opinions (honest or otherwise) of their dealerships than in actually doing anything constructive to address customer concerns... In my opinion, one of the reasons (perhaps the main reason) why GM went bankrupt a few years ago...

I would also offer a warning against a certain Buick-GMC dealership with whom I've dealt in the past, and which displayed a distinct lack of scruples and customer service when I had purchased (new, mind you) a clearly flawed truck from them -- but I can happily report that they are now defunct... With any luck, you'll see that day come with Maxie Price; I'm sad to say, that may be the only solace you receive out of this... Sometimes it takes a while, but word does get around...

To answer your question, it is all about car sales. That is why Chevrolet Corporate did nothing to aid me with my problem. Maxie Price is the second largest Corvette Dealership in the United States (according to their sales manager...and I tend to believe it, based on the number of new and used Corvettes on their lot). I can only hope that in time, with enough complaints and continued bad customer service, Maxie Price Chevrolet will choke themselves out of business with their incompetence and flagrant disregard for their own lifeblood...THEIR CUSTOMER BASE. In today's economy, every business must strive to retain what little bit of business is out there and to work harder than ever to preserve their reputation and to be one up on their competition. I may not see the day, but indeed if things do not change at Maxie Price Chevrolet, they will not have to worry about competition running them out of business, they will do that themselves.

Maxie couldn't care less about the BBB. Go to the AG. That's the only office they pay attention to.

For what it's worth, you have 3 days in Georgia to "change" your mind on a car purchase & return the vehicle. It's part of our lemon law. To the OP you're wasting your time & money trying to screw with "Uncle Maxie". Save your money to spend on fixing the clunker they unloaded on you. Also NEVER buy any vehicle at night or at near 'closing " time! My sympathies to you, but you should have known better.
