Here's A Different Approach
Color of Caipers ?
To me it has always been something I'd like to do, Paint the calipers on my 2003 50th Anniversary ISC coupe, lot of work for just changing the color of something the works perfect as is in from factory gray. I don't know, I suppose if I had time, but I'd like to spend driving the car and for some reason I'd rather jack up the car and spend a weekend cleaning and painting. But my heath is slowly getting worse and for me driving is the best cure.
But here in this thread is some very sensible and logical advice, I'll just give yo mine as I have seen this question many times, One color that goes very well with torch red is Gold. I know it sounds crazy but if your working around you garage with your corvette is sitting alone in your driveway or whatever, cut two pieces of gold, (Even gift wrapping paper) and just slid them in around your calipers and then go about your chores and when you walk past the Vette or just look at your beauty, just glance at it and see what you think. I think you'll see it is a subtle wheel visual enhancement, and a color that will truly stand out in a field torch red corvettes.
The one problem with the color Torch red, which I'm positive is without a doubt the most sought after color, (Not my favorite, but) torch red limits you to a great degree with finding something you can add as a "enhancement color" against a large area like the exterior of Torch red on a Corvette. My 2003 is in what is called 'Anniversary Red' which I didn't realize was and is a totally different red color from all other past reds even when I parked next to a 40th Anniversary edition coupe at a Corvette show a few years ago, small difference in the tone and the 40th being much more of a burgundy in color than my 2003 50th Anniversary model. Please, just my opinion.
You Can Always Go With The Body Color
Doing the calipers the same color as the body gives you a nice clean coordinated look.
