I purchased them from Tire Rack for $829.08; they were delivered the very next day and would have been on the car except for the SpeedShop installing 2 of the tires on backwards.
I try to support local stores but all of the ones I contacted in Frederick, MD said that they would have to special order my tires and that it would cost more and take about a week to have them delivered.
The money I saved going with Tire Rack I purchased a trolley jack, one of those fancy schmancy NASCAR types at Pep Boys, and a new torque wrench.

Save The Wave!

I bet it was one of your posts that pointed me to these great tires, thanks bigtime.
I have to agree, they look like almost organic; like the footpads of a speeddemon.

The GS-D3 are incredible tires. I can't believe the stability and control in heavy downpours these things give me even in the big 315 rears.

Congratulations on your new tires----please let us know how they behave in wet weather.

These tires are fantastic in the wet. I have new GS-C's on the back and new GS-D3's on the front. Can't wait until I replace the rears with some GS-D3 and I'm trying to burn them off as fast as possible.

Thanks!
Others have said that they are great in the rain but hopefully I won’t have to find out; unless I get caught by surprise, I try not to drive in the rain.

I hope the shop gave you a good deal on the installation. I know that a lot of those places don't like installing tires you didn't buy from them so they charge you a lot of $$$.

Actually it wasn't to bad. The shop uses a special tire mounting machine designed especially for alloy wheels. They also installed the balancing weights inside the wheels and installed chrome valve stems for less than $100.

the problem here is most people compare new tires to the old worn out tires. and that comparison is USELESS !!
you have to compare NEW to NEW, with is difficult for most of use !

True. On the other hand my "old" tires had about 10 to 20k miles left on them. I wanted to keep them just in case I ever wanted to do the NCRS thingie.
Compaired to the old gators, these new tires ROC!!!!
