    Default 86 Corvette Shop Manual

where can i get one of these for a decent price? we were changing the fuel pump relay the yesterday and ran into a weird problem. the yellow wire{hot}going into the harness seems to always be hot.even without the ignition on. when we moved the wire by itself{turning wiggling} the fuel pump would come on and the keys weren't in the ignition!!!also we got a clicking noise from the junction box behind the battery. this is a new one to me! i am hoping to find something {repair manual} that will have a good electrical diagram.

    I got mine from ebay.

Just in case though, check the wires going into the connector, on mine the wire coating had shrunk back and was exposing bare wire. Every now and then they would touch giving me an error code or even worse the wires in the MAF would light up and stay on (burn off).

check the wires as they go into each connector.

You can find them on eBay but try to get a new manual set rather than used. Also, make sure they have the red covers. The white covered versions are pre-production ones. There are two volumes.

You can get brand new manuals from Helm, the company that prints them for GM. www.helminc.com

What I did was buy some liquid wire caoting, paint it on with a small brush and never had a problem after that.

Of course the real smart solution would be to buy new connectors and replace them.
