Well I have been thinking since the pleum is off for the rebuild on getting a fuel regulator. Should I, and if so what kind should I get? Thanks

Do you know what your fuel pressure was? Ideal for our years is supposedly between 40 and 43 psi, according to TPIS. Stock was 37 for 86; not sure about 87. When Mad Mic was going to replace his, we checked the pressure and it already was at 42.

If you do have your heart set on getting one, get TPIS's. Among other things, they stand behind their product. I broke the vacuum nipple off mine during my rebuild and they sent me a new one plus new shell at no cost.

mine was set on 45 psi when we checked it because i was going to add the AFPR and bump it to 47 psi but since it was only 2 off i figured i'd just keep the stock one for now.

Rich been waiting for you to call me i guess you got busy this weekend. lets get that thing running!

I got a BBK but never put it on. When I checked mine it too was at 42 lbs.

Plus the little torx heads wouldn't budge, it seems they were the tamper proof type, but I can't remember.

Yes, they're tamper-proof (the torx bit needs a hole in the middle). TPIS supplies one with their kit.

Sorry, Mic - meant to call, got busy doing other house projects that had been put on hold. I've got the car on a trickle charger right now so the battery should be fairly fresh when we try again. I'd like to say maybe Friday afternoon. I may have to cancel on short notice, though, because my grandmother is expected to pass away any day now and I'll have to leave town for the memorial service.
