Default please help...what kind of vette is this?!

hi everybody, i'm a newbie here, i don't have a vette, but have been a vette fan since i could talk. i just registered to ask everyone and anyone who might be able to help a question...my friend is not the type to bull**** me at all; his dad has a vette which he's giving to my friend. i just saw the car and it's really nice, my friend's not sure of all the details and i can't find anything on this car, but he said it's a limited edition 1 of 50 made. it's an 86 coupe, 2 tone stock paint( chamaigne top, metallic brownish bottom), it came stock with BBS wheels, and my friend said it has 400hp, the interior looks a little nicer than usual too, it's got wood trim, charcoal or black seats(not sure), and it has a targa top. that's all the details i can remember...can anybody tell me what this thing is? maybe a tuner's factory altered car or something? shoot me an e-mail, i probably won't check back. any info you can give would be much appreciated, thank you

Default Malcom Konner S/E

It sounds like a malcom konner special edition. 1 of 50 sounds right I don't believe they came with 4oo hp as only 1 callaway was made for themout of the 50 cars

If you won't check back, how badly do you want to know? Or is is that you can't check back?

The nice thing about a forum is so everyone can learn, not just the original inquisitor.

You should hang around. There's a lot of good conversation here.

I thought the Malcom Conner cars were silver over charcoal. I dont think they had BBS wheels either. The only C4 to come factory with 400hp was the Callaways and ZR1s. Sounds like somebody has their facts mixed up to me.

I didn't realize that the ZR-1's had 400hp?? Actually, its been a long time since I've really looked at any numbers on them. Was the HP really that high? Where was (is?) the torque at on a ZR-1?

When I bought my Callaway, I had originally started looking for a ZR-1, then a friend of a friend told me I should get a Callaway, and told me a little about them. When I found out I could get more HP for less money (at least for a SNAT w/o aero), I was all about it.

And yes, this forum has been an EXCELLENT source of information!

No one needs to own a vette to be a member here at Corvette Action Center.
If you are interested in 'vettes for any reason, that is all the reason I need to welcome someone to CAC.
