Also -
Chevy parts dept. said that for a 1996 vette, this part didnt exist,
thats why he had to look up on a 1994 just to find the part...

Odd? mix up?

It's just a tube? Make one yourself.

I'm not familiar with that particular piece Rain.

most auto parts (napa-auto zone type places) will have "T" and Angles and connectors that have multiple sizes on them that you can use until your correct part comes in.

Yea, its just a tube, thats an elbow..
and smaller in diameter on one end than the other.

Every shop and garage and parts dept would bring me the coolant elbow.
Not the vac one.

They couldnt find the part listed in the computer for the 1996.
But did find it for the 94.
alas, no one within 300 miles had the part.

Not sure how much room Ive got on that side under the fuel rail cover to do T's an extra hose in order to rig one up.
I'd honestly much rather have the proper hose joint.

Headed to Nashville and Bowling Green early next week.. Would assume I could come across one in my journey by making a few phone calls ahead.. right?

Otherwise, Im sure it will hold for this trip.
was simply starting to show some dry rot and wear. Not split thru like the driver's side was.

Actually asked myself that same question.

This is the dealership my local corvette club frequents.
But the parts guy did stay on and off the phone 4 or 5 times with his girlfriend while searching for my part.

Ross (Cfour) has connected me with the Head Parts Scheduler in Bowling Green.
Spose to ring her tomorrow. Guess I could drop this in conversation..
But yes,
Why didn't my parts guy offer to have it delivered? Or find me a dealership in Nashville, Knoxville or elsewhere that had this part? I told him of my trip north..

Odd - but thanks for fillin me in on how things are spose to be done
