Thread: Front Plate Install

    Default Front Plate Install

    I hope you guys and girls don’t mind all the questions, but I am new to Corvette ownership.
    I live in Illinois and they require a front plate. How dose the front bumper thingeee come off so a plate can be installed, or do you just screw it on to that thingeee?

    There are two screws located in the base. You have to get down to that level to see 'em. Then install your plate. You can buy a clear cover that goes over the plate and 'fill' the bumper back out to it's shape.

    I got pulled over last week for no plate, so I put it on. I don't like the way it looks, so I'm interested in the clear thingee that you talked about. Is it shaped like the original insert? Where do you buy one? Thanks
