c4c5specialist ABS Brakes ???

how do you diagnose an ABS problem? my light is still on after having front brakes done. (rotors turned and new pads) the dealer that i took it too said they don't have a cartridge that plugs up to their diagnostic tool to accuratly troubleshoot the problem. i want to take this to my own mechanic as this has been a nightmare but would like some info to help him fix it. the original post is down below.
