Dynoday in the Netherlands
Last saturday a group of Vette owners and member of a Dutch Vette Club went to a dyno to get a few cars tested.
Well, I can assure you we had a LOT of fun!
The tested cars were:
89, 211 hp & 388 Nm (with empty cat)
91, 207 hp & 403 Nm (MINE!
)
81, 172 hp & 351 Nm (don't know, but sounds stock)
94, 240 hp & 371 Nm
93 ZR1, 288 hp & 428 Nm (100.000 Miles!)
86, 267 hp & 435 Nm (Johnny's high revving creature)
90 ZR1, 382 hp & 502 Nm (Geoff Jeal creation)
Do the lb-ft conversion yourself please...
Shows that a bone stock C4 like the '89 and my '91 are very high on torque!
Anyway, it was a blast standing next to my Vette doing 250 km/h on the dyno...
Luckily everything went ok and nothing broke

me & my Vette...

A few weeks ago we discovered an Internet page from the goverment who tracks all kind of data (pretty sure you have something similar in the States) and in 2001 there were almost 1500 Corvettes registered.
And we're pretty sure there are even more unregistered ones, like this enthousiast who has close to 30 Vettes...
We expect there to be around 2000 Vettes in the Netherlands.
Official numbers:
Chevy Corvette: 1.467
Chevy Camaro: 724
Ferrari (all types): 963
Ford Mustang: 763
Rolls Royce: 866
Pontiac Firebird: 713
Porsche: 13.412 (50% 911!)
In total there are 6.539.000 cars registered in the Netherlands, all per of january 1, 2001.
