    Default Serpentine Belt Tensioner

Got the old alternator off, the new one in place. Scratching my head wondering how the belt tensioner works. My other cars all you did was put a socket w/breaker bar and pushed one way and the roller moved to loosten the tension and when the belt cleared all rollers you released it and it tightened the belt. Not this puppy. Help please!

That's a 1/2" square hole, eh? I just use a 1/2" torque wrench or breaker bar.
