How old is the battery? May need to be changed if it is near end of life.
SES Light But No Stored Code???
96 LT1.
What would cause a steady SES light but no stored code?
I posted on this issue on the General Board but I think I should have posted it here.
Thanks,
Jake

How did you check for codes? You might need to check it with a DRB code reader.
The battery is new, about 3 months old. Alternator shows normal charing rate. I donl;t have any starting or drivability issue.
I diconnected the battery yesterday and the SES light's now gone but I still don't know what caused it.
I checked for a stored code by jumping 4 and 12 on the ALDL.
If the light returns, I'll hit AutoZone to have them check with their reader.
