Default Helm Manuals?

I recently picked up both the white and the red GM Service Manuals for my car. These do not have Helm marked anywhere on them. From what I was told the guy was clearing out an old Chevy dealership and that these were some of the manuals that they found in the service dept. The one thing I have noticed is I don't have the Electrical Supplement section 8A of the manual. I checked with Helm and they have the complete manual with section 8A for $105. My question is are there any differences between the Factory manuals and the Helm manuals? Or does Helm just reprint the factory ones.

Thanks,

Helm is the company that prints the factory manuals for GM so you may not see any reference to Helm as the publisher or printer. The white cover books are preliminary versions and don't necessairly have all of the information in them and the format may even be different from the red covered versions.

If you want the second copy, you might contact Helm to see if they will sell that as a separate item. Another place to look is eBay.

Default Thanks

That was kinda what I was thinking. Just thought I'd ask to make sure. I contacted Helm and the only sell the whole set (the Red Service Manual and the Red section 8A). I've been watching eBay, but thats kinda a rare item, so I guess I'll keep watching. Mine are in good condition just a little broken in, which is what I planned to do with them anyway.
