Flowmaster "44" series mufflers

Has anyone used the flowmaster 44 series mufflers. Their ads say that they are a little louder than the 50 series, wich are the mufflers used on the force 2 catback systems that alot of zr1 guys run. The 44 series are just under 100 a muffler about half what the 50 series are?? I'm trying to get a good sounding system and save some money at the same time. Thanks for any input on flowmasters or any other mufflers that sound good and perform well at a reasonable price.

I've always thought Flowmaster are over-rated. They are heavy, and steel, so they rust where stainless units don't. Just my opinion - lots of folks love them.

I had stainless delta flow 50's on my 70. I thought they sounded great,no resonance at all,just a deep powerful exhaust note. I just gave them to my father-in-law(I just put on sidepipes) and they sound great on his 70 383 Charger as well.
