Default Oil gauge mech to electric

I have a 71 BB and would like to have an electric oil gauge. What year did they start using elec gauge? And will it fit in the 71 bezel.

Thanks for any help.

'73 was the last year for the mechanical oil pressure gauge; don't know offhand if the '74 electric gauge will fit in a '71 or not, and you'd have to add the power and sender wiring.
